November 6the congregation is encouraged to wear pink in solidarity with woman who have had breast cancer. Barbara Morris will speak at the time of sharing.
November 13we will recognize our Vetrans in worship. All Veterans are encouraged to bring their uniform hat and be recognized.
November 20worship will celebrate Thanksgiving.
November 27is the first Sunday of Advent, our time of waiting in preparation for the Lord's coming. We will celebrate Holy Communion on that day.
December 4is the Community Tree Lighting Service....6:30pm!!!
BLOCK PARTY November 19
10:00am - 2:30pm This is a community outreach event to connect with our neighbors and invite people to Love's. There will be a Brunswick stew and baked goods for sale. There will be games and activities for the children.
HOW CAN YOU HELP??? See Tom Lane to help with the stew. see Ann ibraham and the United Methodist Woman to provide baked goods. See Angela Lowe to help with the childrens events. THEN, come and participate. All who are able to need to be present to greet our neighbors, connect with them in conversation and express our desire to include them in our fellowship.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS The Church Council will meet once a quarter. The meeting will be the second Wednesday at 6:45pm in November. Every Committee of the church needs to meet prior to the Council meeting in order to do the business of the church. USHERS The fifth Sunday of every month, woman of the church are invited to be the ushers to collect the offering. Please contact Richard Pegram or the church office. Thank you for serving in this capacity.
As a reminder, our church youth are the ushers and collect the offering on the first Sunday of every month. Remember to report to the entrance of the church at 10:30 am for instructions.
